The Platypus Sprinkler features a high-temperature, UV-stabilized nylon spinner with flame-retardant propertiesand a 316 stainless steel inlet shaft and nozzle for superior durability and corrosion resistance. Its low-maintenance bearing system ensures smooth, reliable operation in all weather conditions.
Designed for versatility, the Platypus Sprinkler can be installed during new construction—allowing concealed pipework—or retrofitted to existing structures with exposed piping for a cost-effective installation.
The sprinkler’s twin-outlet head spins freely on a central shaft, distributing water outward and downward in a full-circle pattern. Unlike standard butterfly-style sprinklers, the Platypus design eliminates the outer support frame, preventing water streams from breaking into fine mist. This results in larger, heavier droplets that are far less affected by wind, ensuring more water reaches and stays on the building and immediate surroundings—critical during high-wind ember attacks.
For optimal performance, we recommend installing flow control inserts at each sprinkler to balance system pressure and maintain consistent coverage.
